College College College...

I didn't know everything having to deal with college would be so much work. At first, I wanted to be an RN... well as I'm working in my doctors office I watched what the nurse practioners do and thought more into what I REALLY wanted to do. I made up my mind and what I want to go to college for has nothing to do with health care. I want to be an accountant. I am good with math and have strong analytical skills. Well, now that I've chosen what I want to be I have to decide which college I want to go to...And I want to do it all online, or most of it. I looked up schools and found interests in Devry University and University of Phoenix...called around and found out that Devry is a private school NOT ran by the state, therefore, that makes it much more expensive AND you can't get grants or financial aid by the government. Now that is probably the only way I am going to be able to go to school. So never mind on Devry.

I talked with my aunt at UOP and she made me feel a lot better. I can get my associates in about 1 1/2 years all online....sounds like a great idea. Plus, I can get grants and things like that and she said that I could get most of my college paid for by that. I guess being a teen mom does pay off in a way because that's the only way that makes me completely eligible. So, now I have to fill out my FAFSA form and send it in! Wish me luck! I'm excited!

*Oh, and Aniyah turns 5 months next Tuesday !!! [2/2/09] Time Flies and it's scary!

So who's the father you ask

I know I don't talk about Aniyah's dad too much, but we do get along and we do work things out, things are just a little bumpy right now. We first met my freshman year of high school. A school girl crush turned into so much more. June 16, 2006 we got together. I was the most shy girl he probably has ever met.

Michael Fajardo, a trouble maker on the outside but a softy on the inside. Michael didn't have the best grades or the best reputation but I saw beyond that. He had never had a long time relationship and either had I, we were high schoolers of course, but as things went on we grew closer and closer, learning the meaning of committment. He was becoming a better guy and was learning what he wanted in life. My parents were liking him more and more and he was becoming a part of the family. Here are a few pictures of our first couple years together...

My Four Month Old Monster

Aniyah is the biggest giggle monster I know. I swear this child knows when somethings funny. I think she gets her crazy funny personality from her daddy. She weighs 14 pounds even and her favorite food is squash! Yucky! The doctor said we can put her on solids now. Stage one and veggies only...even though I have to say she has tried applesauce, ooops! She doesn't like rice cereal-I guess she's too good for that! LOL. Also, one of her biggest attributes is her hair! She has SO much of it and it hasn't stopped growing since she was born. It's always a big mess but it goes along with her personality :)

Another thing, she is extremely nosy and loves cell phones! That's my girl! Aniyah does sleep ALL through the night believe it or not, and my mom tells me everyday how lucky I am for her to be doing that. She rolls over all the time so we really have to watch her. I think she thinks its a game.

Oh my goodness and how could I forget! Christmas just passed! It was her first Christmas! (obviously) I'd love to say she enjoyed it...but she was asleep the WHOLE morning we opened presents. I tried to wake her up but she just fell back asleep right after that.

Christmas Eve was fun. Lots of family and she looked super cute in the dress her mimi bought her. *Her mimi is her grandma=My mommy*

I took this picture below a little before Christmas. It's my favorite because she looks just like me when I was a baby. When I find a way to get my baby picture on here I will.

Aniyah at Two and Three Months!

It's truly amazing how fast babies change. Aniyah just becomes a funnier baby by the day! She's drinking a little more, sleeping a little more and she even rolled over in her sleep! Scaryyy!

Its Her First Halloween!! October 31, 2008

My lovely pumpkin I was so proud of, even though it only lasted a couple of days :(

Three Month Pictures

I thought I did pretty well on this cool picture :)

Aniyahs 1st Month!

Life for me has definitely changed. No more staying out late with the friends or going to the movies. I just became a full time mother. But I'm okay with that, and I really have no other choice! Lol. Aniyah sleeps about every three to four hours sometimes two and drinks two ounces. She hardly crys. I think I have a good baby on my hands! Nights were long but I'm young so I'm used to staying up late sometimes. The tiredness doesn't hit until another couple weeks.

Here are some pictures from the time she came home to one month!

And her silly personality begins!

My New Idea

Today I decided to start a blog, not only because I want to be cool like other people out there but because I've always wanted to keep a journal of my own. When I get older I want to be able to remember little things the went on in my life. I'm only a teenager, almost 18, but I carry a big life for myself and for my life ahead.

A Little About Me

I am unique in many ways. My name is Paisley. I was named from the artist Prince. I am extremely optimistic and self-motivated. I'm 17 years old. I'm not a big fan of the movies. I'm the type of girl who rather be comfy and cosy watching a movie in my home. I can be mean, blunt, and gullible at times. I love math and dislike science. I do online school, of which I am almost finished with. I also attend EVIT (East Valley Institute of Technology) This May I will be getting not only my diploma but my certificate of medical assisting! Exciting, I know. My favorite part of EVIT is my externship. I go Tuesdays, Wednesday's, and Thursday's for three hours a day. This only happens from January to May on your second year of the program. It's extremely exciting and I can't wait to keep you updated on it. I absolutely love drawing blood and I'd have to say I am very well at it. If you haven't already learned I am extremely confident with myself and proud to say that.

My next subject is that I am a mother to a four month old Aniyah Gabrielle. The most beautiful thing I have ever cherished so much in my life. I live for her and she is my motivator. She has already taught me so much. I am not a teenage statistic, I have outgrown that "sterotype". I gave birth to her on September 2nd 2008. The most memorable event in my life yet. I wouldn't have traded that day for anything else in the world. She was a whopping 8lbs. 6oz, 21inches long.

I went into labor that morning at 12am.. contractions were 5 minutes apart 2:30am..goodbye home, hello hospital. I was in PAIN! The lovely labor pains went on until about 4 or 5am when I received my epidural.. what a relief but for long! I guess I didn't realize that the medication could wear off and I thought I was tough. 10:30am , practice pushes.. fun fun! 10:45am the real pushing begins! Legs on the stir-ups for the world to see, cameras ready, mirror in front of me. About 8 pushes later, Aniyah Gabrielle arrives! 11:08am ! They lay her on my chest and whats the first thing she does? Poops on me!! She is my child! (You'll understand later). Everything isn't all so dandy and perfect though. When she was on my chest she wasn't crying, she was blue and wasn't breathing well. She was taken away from me so fast I hardly got to see her. The weresucking out her mouth over and over, but she wasn't responding well. On the other side of the L&D room was me, in pain, getting stitched up! THE WORST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE!! I felt every poke and prod, every needle going in and out. I had no local anesthetic, no more epidural...nothing! My legs were shaking and I was on the verge of screaming. Aniyah on the other hand had to go to the NICU, she was there for 6 close to 7 hours!

Before Epidural---------------- After Epidural

After my lovely stiching, they made me drink some stupid grape juice and crackers, I was furious because I wasn't thirsty or hungry I just wanted to see my baby. So I sucked it up, gobbled down the juice, ate the crackers and was off to see my baby. Lord have mercy she was the most gorgeous beautiful little thing I have EVER seen! When I went to see her she was perfect, they fixed her lungs and said that she had just swolloed a bunch of amnio fluid on her way out. 4 months later I see how that happened. She's a complete spaz! And its hilarious!

Barely Born! -----------------------NICU :(
